Pokemon Go Fest 2022, Centered on Pokemon Shaymin, Begins June 4

Niantic will kick off the new season, called Season of Go, and Pokemon Go Fest 2022 in June. Pokemon Go Fest will kick off on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5. With rewards, bonuses and Shinies, the event comes in a free tier and a paid tier. If players want additional Raid Passes and other bonuses, Pokemon Go Fest tickets are $15. The ticket also includes the final event scheduled for August 27.

First day, June 4

Everybody

There will be four hours of rotating habitat. Players can encounter, for the first time, Shiny Shroomish, Shiny Numel, Shiny Karrablast, Shiny Axew, and Shiny Shelmet. For the full list of Pokemon that will spawn in which habitat, head over to Pokemon Go Fest Official Site. For all four habitats, if players are lucky, they might encounter a costumed Pikachu that wears Shaymin-inspired Gracidea flowers.

Ticket holders

  • Legendary pokemon Shaymin–Players can undertake the special research task and learn more about Shaymin, the mythical pokemon of gratitude. The search task is customizable – choose between relaxed, standard, and mastered difficulty levels and playstyles, including catch, explore, and fight. However, regardless of the difficulty level players choose, it does not affect the rewards.
  • Brilliants–Players will have a higher chance of encountering Shinies – including Shiny Unown B – when using Incense.
  • Global Challenge Arena–Completing collaborative challenges with other players will trigger bonuses.

Second day, June 5

Everybody

  • Global Challenge Arena–Open to all to participate on the second day.
  • Pokemon–A “certain pokemon” will appear in five-star raids. It is currently unknown who this special guest is. Pokémon in habitats on Saturday will also appear on Sunday, so you have a second chance to collect them all.
  • Special Research Story–Anyone will be able to access a short story upon login.

Ticket holders

  • Special Research Story–In addition to the publicly available story, ticket holders will receive an additional research story.
  • Pokemon–Incense that has an increased chance of Shinies will also be available on this day.
  • Team Go Rocket Balloons–These will appear more regularly and players will earn more rewards for defeating enemies.
