Destiny 2 Patch Notes Fix Space Grandma, Make Solstice Grind Easier

This week’s patch for Destiny 2 isn’t intensive, but it’s essential for any Guardians looking to complete the Solstice event before it ends on August 9. In addition to ironing out a few bugs, players can grab progression boosters for their second and third classes – Titan, Warlock, and Hunter if you’re new to Destiny 2 – which will speed up the completion of the event’s many Triumphs.

Some of these Triumphs, which need to be completed to get enough Ignition to fully upgrade Solstice gear and earn the Flame Keeper title, take a lot of work. One challenge requires players to play 25 Crucible matches, another requires spending a lot of time in the world of Savathun’s Throne, and more.

Participating in Solstice is very interesting this year, because the armor offered can be refined to have very desirable statistics. Plus, they look neat with their fancy light effects. In the tech department, Solstice transmog issues have been fixed, and an issue preventing players from picking up Eva Levante’s armor has been resolved, according to Bungie. As Solstice brings the season of the haunted to a close, Destiny 2’s next big chapter is set to be revealed on August 23. This won’t just be the start of Season 18 for the sci-fi sandbox, but also a preview of what lies ahead of the Bungie-developed game in a new showcase.
