Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is coming to consoles and PC

During the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration livestream, Square Enix announced the return of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which will be ported/remastered and launched on all consoles and PC this winter.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is an action-RPG and a prequel to the original FFVII. The game follows Zack Fair – the best friend of FFVII protagonist Cloud Strife – while he was a mercenary for the Shinra Electric Power Company.

This remaster marks the first time in 14 years that Crisis Core will be playable on modern consoles, as there have been no further ports of the game since its original launch for the Sony PSP in March 2008.

The FFVII 25th Anniversary Celebration livestream also revealed a closed beta test for mobile RPG FFVII Ever Crisis, as well as a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Remastered launches this winter on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
